Big Picture Advisor

The Advisory teacher helps create the Learning Plan with the student, parent, mentor and other supporters. He or she helps the student's Learning Plan team to understand the philosophy of the Big Picture school. The Advisory teacher makes sure that the projects are authentic, that the student is excited, that the work is challenging and that the overall plan is realistic and possible. The Advisory teacher makes sure that over the year the student's Learning Plans focus on different Learning Goals and lead to a well rounded educational plan. The Advisory teacher also helps the students manage their Learning Plan work over the term.
