Hunter Academy – Stage 4 (ROSA pathway)
The focus of the Stage 4 Hunter Academy is to enhance student’s literacy, numeracy and technology skills through project based learning and integrated curriculum planning. Students are guided and supported to develop the NSW DoE (Department of Education) General Capabilities, specifically Personal and Social capability. These are developed through team orientated and individualised advisory tasks.
All students have an individual learning plan that identifies their needs, strengths, interests, and aspirations. Students are placed in Hunter Academy based on their NAPLAN results, internal school testing and reporting and conversations with primary school teachers. Students are eligible for a ROSA and can transition back to a mainstream class at any stage.
