Welcome to the start of the 2021 school year. There are exciting things happening at Hunter Sports High this year with the launch of a new school plan and a new school logo.
The new stratagic plan, to be released by the end of Term 1, covers three focus areas:
- Student growth and attainment
- Future-proofed personalised pathways
- Better Together: co-creating learning and strengthening community connections
These areas support the new school vision, motto and mission statements.
- Vision: Igniting curiosity, sparking passions to inspire lifelong learning
- Motto: Personalising Pathways
- Mission: Co-creating meaningful graduate attributes in an inclusive and empowering environment
The new logo reflects the new innovative directions that the school is embarking on to ensure we meet the needs of all learners in a rapidly-changing world. The flame represents the ignition of curiosity and sparking of passions. The circles are symbolic of a meeting place, signifying a safe and nurturing environment for learning and socialising as a community. The dots represent a pathway. Every path is unique. This symbolises the journey of a student as a lifelong learner. In the logo the paths are divided in colour to represent high school and the future, both ascending with positivity and hope.
You will notice the new logo appearing around the school, on our website, Facebook page and on school communications, however there will be no changes to the school uniform until 2022. It certainly is an exciting time for Hunter Sports High and we're looking forward to a fantastic year ahead!
