Elite Sports Academy – Year 11 and 12 (HSC Pathway)

The new Elite Sports Academy program for Year 11 and Year 12 students is designed to provide a unique and comprehensive educational experience for aspiring elite athletes. Students enrolled in the program will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a specialised sports academy environment while concurrently completing their Higher School Certificate (HSC) with a focus on the Certificate III in Sport - Athlete. This dual qualification pathway will allow students to develop a deep understanding of sports science, performance analysis, and athlete management, preparing them for potential careers in the sports industry. Additionally, the program will offer access to tailored strength and conditioning programs, ensuring that students receive the necessary physical training and support to enhance their athletic abilities.

In terms of academic support, the Elite Sports Academy will provide a nurturing and responsive learning environment. The Academy will be assigned a dedicated adviser who will guide them through their HSC studies, offering personalised assistance and mentoring. Importantly, the program will offer an alternative assessment model, allowing students to demonstrate their knowledge and skills through practical assessments and project-based tasks, rather than traditional formal exams.
